Felbrigg has so much to offer families. From children's trails around the hall to den building in the woods, find out all you need to know to plan a great day out.

Planning your family visit

  • It is free to visit the estate at Felbrigg (car parking charges apply for non-members) and admission to the hall and gardens is free for under 5s.
  • Baby changing facilities can be found in the toilets next to the Stable Courtyard, turning right just before you get to the main visitor reception.
  • Breastfeeding is welcome everywhere at Felbrigg, including in our tea-room where hot water can be provided for making up bottles.
  • High chairs are available in the tea-room.
  • Picnic benches and accessible benches are in the meadow area in front of the Stable Courtyard. You’re also welcome to picnic in the grounds.
  • Buggy-friendly paths are in place around the gardens and parkland. Don’t hesitate to ask a member of the welcome team for tips.

Borrow a Tracker Pack

The estate awaits! Free to visit, head out and explore some of the 520-acres stretched out before you.

Borrow a Tracker Pack from Visitor Reception, stuffed full of binoculars and animal track sheets, and follow the 2.6-mile circular church and ice house trailor let your senses lead the way as you explore the woodland, parkland and around the lake.

Tick activities off the ‘50 things to do before you're 11¾’ list, including 'Build a den’ in a dedicated area off the 'Victory V' avenue of trees and ‘Watch a bird’ through a hide by the lake. Discover more about '50 things...'

Eating with us?

The Squire’s Pantry tea-room in the Stable Courtyard serves kids picnic bags, light meals, fresh bakes, ice creams and drinks. Please check the opening hours before your visit.
